All I want for Christmas is You!

We jingled. We frolicked. We channeled our inner Mariah. One thing’s for sure: Ploome Pilates knows how to party.

Our Northern Liberties Pilates studio and our Philadelphia fitness family have grown and evolved so much since our early days as a mom-and-pop-fire-spinning-pilates-shop. That’s right, Ploome newbies…When we first opened in 2011, we lit sh*t on fire for no particular reason and ate cupcakes on Champagne Sundays (it was magical).

Although many wonderful people have come and gone from the studio since then, every person who has shared a sweat with us has also added something really special to the zeitgeist of Ploome. Our Pilates community radiates authenticity, confidence, and compassion. We love spending time with each other, supporting one another on the road to crushing our fitness goals and inspiring one another to tackle the tough stuff head-on (whether it’s a grueling workout or an overwhelming work week).

At Ploome Pilates, we share our stories, celebrate our strengths, and build bonds of friendship that nourish and strengthen the community we have built together. We have fun, get sh*t done, and hold one another accountable to our wellness goals in the most loving and encouraging ways.

As the Christmas holidays commence, enjoy a look back at one of Ploome’s many studio adventures in Philadelphia: the 2013 flash mob at lululemon athletica on Walnut Street in Philadelphia. To set the scene…

We, as a studio community, just finished running the Philadelphia Marathon together as a tribute to sexual violence advocacy and PTSD recovery. We were feeling wildly motivated to take our cheer to the masses and wanted to hit the holidays harder than any studio in Philly had before. As a lululemon ambassador, I thought it would be great to shower this amazing athleisure community with the same overwhelmingly gracious love and support they have always shown to me, to Ploome, and to our fitness family.

Armed with elf ears, candy canes, and a boombox prepped with Mariah Carey Christmas jams, the Ploome Pilates crew took our show on the road. The rest is history.
