Dear Philly,

Family comes first…always. You, my fellow Frequent Ploomers, mean the world to me and are an extension of my nuclear family. No matter how crazy life gets, I know I can always count on you to make me smile, keep my grounded, and guide my goals.

As the fall rolls on, let’s take some time to strengthen our growing bonds of friendship and enjoy one another’s fabulous company. It is a true blessing to be surrounded by such amazing and inspiring people. I thank you for helping me to grow into the best version of myself. Your presence in my life makes it that much richer!

Join us on Sunday, September 25th, for the 8th annual Zane’s Run to combat SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), the number one genetic cause of death for infants.

The Ploome Family is participating in this run to provide support to one of our community members, Kelly Rohrs, whose infant son, William, was recently diagnosed with SMA.

A word from Kelly regarding William and this run:

I’m so touched and honored that the first community run will be in support of my 4-month-old son William. About 6 weeks ago, William was diagnosed with a genetic disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. There is currently no cure or treatment for SMA so William’s muscles will get weaker over time and eventually he will have trouble swallowing and breathing. His mind is completely unaffected and he is a happy, curious kid. My husband and I have spent long days at CHOP and many sleepless nights figuring out how to give our son the best life we can. Right now there are only two things we can do: love William like crazy and hope for a medical breakthrough. My husband and I are taking up running to support CureSMA, an organization that has given our family lots of support and has invested more than $57 million in research.

Please note that Zane’s Run will take place at: Great Valley Middle School * 255 Phoenixville Pike * Malvern, PA 19355. Ploomers are welcome to carpool from the studio on Sunday morning (9/25/16). We will meet at Ploome at 7:00am and leave promptly at 7:30am.
